Andrea Earle, LPC-MS, Therapist & Public Speaker

Therapeutic Services and Public Speaking

My name is Andrea Earle and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) through the state of Texas with a Master of Science (MS) from Texas Woman’s University (TWU). I have worked in therapeutic outreach in the DFW Metroplex since 2006. My private practice, which has offices in McKinney & Aubrey, focuses on individual, couples and family therapy. My public speaking is a combination of lifestyle coaching, relationship development and personal outreach. In everything I do, I endeavor to facilitate insight, awareness, change and healing. I believe not just in the person and their willingness to grow but in the interactive dynamic of family, friends, peers, society and beliefs. All of this makes up our past, influences our present and offers us our future. How exactly is why we are all here.

Why Did I Become A Therapist?

Training, Education & Approach

I graduated from Texas Woman’s University with my Master’s in Counseling & Development and have maintained an active private practice in the DFW area for over a decade. I have always had a heart to help others and as valuable as my education was and remains to my career, I believe that my life experiences are what directed me into my profession. As an only child born to parents who divorced after my father abandoned my mother and me when I was four years old, my childhood and adolescence were cluttered with poverty, abuse and rejection. The result of that foundation was a young adult saturated in victim mentality. What followed me into adulthood was not at all pretty to look at. When I was 30 years old I had one of those AHA moments we hear about from the weathered and wise among us and from that I entered into my own personal therapy. That changed EVERYTHING.....for the better.I find these two decades later that my life and my pursuits are nothing similar to what I was born to and embraced for the first 30 years I occupied this planet. I am no longer a victim. I thrive. I am no longer blind. I see. I am no longer lost. I’m found. I am no body’s excuse, scapegoat, fool or burden. I am instead ready. Ready to succeed. Ready to learn. Ready to change. Ready to listen. Ready to create. I am my own person these days and no longer just a product of what created me. And while I see how my beginnings influenced me, I no longer blame my past for my present and I will never again make my future wait on things that are years behind me. I want everyone who has been hurt, everyone who feels lost, everyone who is bogged in shame and guilt, everyone who has been or remains a victim to find these breakthroughs. Everyone. And that is why I do what I do. Therapy saved me and I owe it a huge debt and every day I work with my clients I pay that transformation forward and the universe cheers.

Andrea Earle, LPC-MS

A Brief Glimpse

I’ve never advertised my practice or actively made efforts to grow it. I have always relied on my reputation as a therapist and referrals for my practice. In the last few years though it has become progressively more important to me to create an outreach to people that highlights what I do. We are in difficult times as a country and as a people. I find when we are hard pressed that very often can lead to our greatest opportunity for change. With that in mind, I’ve opened new days and hours up to take on new clients and I’ve begun a Public Speaking outreach to help others in specific areas of concern. I do believe that to whom much has been given, much is expected. That said, I realize that because I have been so fortunate in this life, I have much work to do.... and this is how I am trying to accomplish that.

FAQs & Costs

“there's nothing more intimate in life than simply being understood. And understanding someone else.“

I do not take insurance for a variety of reasons but most insurance companies do allow you to file out of network reimbursement paperwork which is commonly reimbursed at 50 percent of your cost. However you will need to verify this information with your insurance company and you will be responsible for all paperwork completion and submission to your insurance company. I will sign any forms necessary for submission.
All appointments are booked at 817-269-6960 directly. Please leave a voicemail if your call is not immediately answered. All cancellations require 24 hours notice or the client must pay in full for the scheduled appointment at the time services were scheduled.
All sessions are booked in clinical hours. A clinical hour is 50 minutes. The remaining 10 minutes of the hour is for session note taking and session preparation.
Costs: Individual Therapy(one person):  $100 per clinical hour. Sessions are normally one hour (50 mins) or 1.5 hours (75 mins).
Couples Therapy (two ppl): $125 per clinical hour.  Sessions are two clinical hours (100 mins).
Family Therapy (three to six ppl):  $150 per clinical hour. Sessions are two clinical hours (100 mins).
Intake Sessions (your FIRST therapy session) are always two clinical hours and involve fact gathering, goal setting and paperwork completion between the client(s) and therapist.
Other costs related to services offered will be discussed at intake.

Types of Therapy Offered

“You can't stop the future
You can't rewind the past
The only way to learn the secret
...is to press play.”

There are three basic categories of therapy. The first is Individual Therapy. This type of therapy is between you and the therapist. The work done is exclusive to you, your goals and your objectives. While others are a consideration, they are not an active or consistent participant in your therapeutic process.
The second type of therapy is Couple’s Therapy. I specifically do not call this marriage therapy because in truth your beliefs may not embrace the idea of marriage but you may be in a long term and committed romantic relationship with a significant other. In addition this therapy may not be about romantic commitments at all. This therapy can focus on any and all connections under the umbrella of relationship that involves two active participants. That can be romantic, familial, friendship, professional relationship or a variety of other examples I haven’t mentioned. What is important to understand is this therapy is about no single person, but two separate individuals and their joint relationship. No one person is the therapeutic concern but rather the dynamic relationship between the two people involved is the focus. Both people involved are given active and equal voices in goal setting and forward momentum.
The last form of therapy offered is Family Therapy. This does focus on the familial relationship of the family dynamic and when practicing this role consideration and client ages must be considered. Often this involves parents and children, with a mixture of children, adults and adolescents being involved. However this can also be a tool utilized for small group outreach where the active participants are peers. The main focus here is the number of individuals involved in these sessions. Family therapy involves at least three and no more than six people. Everyone involved will be given the opportunity for personal input and individual concern consideration. Goal setting and participation is addressed on a case by case basis, specialized to fit the needs at hand.

Public Speaking

“Your Voice Will Enter Corners You Never See...So Speak Up”

I approach public speaking as a great opportunity to connect and share. No one will hear everything I say but my goal is that everyone will share in something specifically for them. Whatever that may be that can provide meaning in that moment.
My public speaking engagements are normally 30 to 45 minutes and I always include a brief question and answer session in that timeframe for the audience. I also provide handouts for the audience as well as my contact information should anything discussed be triggering for any of them in either a positive or negative manner.  I have a variety of public speaking options (which I have listed below) but I’m always willing to create an outreach specific to your group.
Tried and Tested Talking Points:
Communication Strategies....What did you just say to me?
Relationship Mistakes.....No really it’s me, not you.
Conflict Resolution.....You better check yourself!
Knowing What You Want.....I think I can, I think I can.
Getting What You Want.....Sometimes you gotta take a prisoner (it’s you)!
Letting Go Of It.....Is it really THAT important?
Sexual Assault, Healing After the Harm
Childhood Sexual Abuse and Adult Consequences
Trauma and What It Brings....You’re not crazy, what you lived through was.

Saving Yourself Seminars

“Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself.”

My seminars are all one day endeavors. I develop all seminar materials and am the primary speaker in a small group setting. I limit participation in each seminar to 20 individuals to ensure participation and confidentiality. Seminars are either four hours or eight hours and focus intensely on specific aspects of the subject matter. Longer seminars are broken into morning and afternoon sessions with a lunch break.
All upcoming seminars will be posted with itinerary and registration information for those interested.
Previously held seminars including:
Healing From Childhood Sexual Abuse
Coping With & Learning From Trauma
Building Intimacy in Your Relationship
